This is NOT allowed in the ultrasonic cleaner: objects with scratches/cracks, glasses with frames made of horn or tortoise shell, wood, leather and textiles, precious stones with porous surfaces (emeralds, pearls).
In the case of spectacles or jewellery that show damage to the surface due to their age or external influences such as UV radiation, heat or cold, treatment with an ultrasonic cleaning device can lead to further visible surface damage. In this case, we recommend manual cleaning with the diluted cleaning solution.
