Product Description

Designed in Sheffield

Wentworth Pewter is a hallmark of quality, heritage and craftsmanship. Each of our products has been lovingly handcrafted, one piece at a time, at our works in Sheffield, UK, the heart of the metalwork industry.

From flasks and tankards to goblets, baby gifts, tableware and trophies, we believe a special gift deserves special treatment, and it’s the unique combination of innovative design and traditional skill that makes Wentworth Pewter standout. Hold one of our products in your hand and you’ll be able to see and feel the difference by the weight, finish and polish of every piece.

We’re a family-owned business run by Maggie, Richard and Jayne Abdy with pewter-smithing in the blood. Jayne is our lead creative, she trained in metalwork design here in the City of Sheffield. She follows in the footsteps of skilled pewter craftsman, Arthur Richard Wentworth, who founded Wentworth Pewter in 1949.

Loved all over the world

Our pieces have featured in Hollywood movies and in some of the world’s most iconic stores including Tiffany’s and Liberty’s. We feel honoured to have customers across the globe, from the UK to Europe and the USA. They choose Wentworth Pewter for quality, tradition and to give someone special a gift to treasure for a lifetime.

Known to have ancient roots

Pewter possesses a unique combination of qualities. It retains its sheen, is hardwearing and is incredibly flexible to work with, making it the ideal material for developing and crafting new designs. It’s therefore no surprise that pewter has been in continuous use since the Bronze Age and is one of the world’s oldest manufacturing industries. We’re passionate about working with an ancient metal that has 21st century lustre!

All our goblets have been lovingly Hand Made by Our Skilled Pewter Craftsmen and women in Sheffield England.

Your pewter gift will retain its lustrous finish with the minimum of care:

We do not recommend using a dishwasher as this can damage the metal.
